Unlike most groups, in The 16th Fleet all players are considered equal. Players are openly encouraged to participate in the decision making process for our group and we have monthly membership meetings through our Discord Channel to discuss happenings throughout our group and to ensure that we are on the correct path for all of our members to best enjoy their time with us.

Each game is led by a Moderator who also serves as the Game Manager for the group. The Game Manager develops a storyline that actively includes all players in the game they oversee. Players are encouraged in our game to explore character building storylines on their own including the development of their own subplots to enhance their enjoyment of the game. Each Game Master has an open door policy with their players and actively encourages their recommendations on how to improve.

Daily operations of The 16th Fleet that do not require full group discussion are overseen by the Fleet Commander. The Fleet Commander comes from within the game and is the longest serving member within the group. The Fleet Commander is actively involved in the operation of each group and is ultimately responsible for the story and morale of the players of The 16th Fleet. Further, the Fleet Commander is focused on the proper enforcement of group policy as developed by the players and ensuring fairness in decisions.

Leadership: The 16th Fleet is primarily a democratic organization where every player gets an equal vote; however, day to day operations that do not require full discussion are handled by the Fleet Commander. The Fleet Commander is also the player responsible for the proper enforcement of group policies and administrative functions.

Project: Unity: The players of the 16th Fleet have a strong belief in the development of a community of gamers built on the concepts of mutual cooperation and respect. This led to the development of Project Unity, a 16th Fleet initiative designed to build an inclusive and safe simming community.
